Galaxy Tab S9 series gets February 2026 security update

After the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung has started rolling out the February 2026 security patch to the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. So far, the brand has released the update only in its home country, South Korea.

The update for the Galaxy Tab S9 carrying the latest security patch is 364.89MB in size and carries firmware version X71xNKOS6DZB6, X81xNKOS6DZB6, and X91xNKOS6DZB6 (via @ya_sking12767). To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The February 2026 security patch fixes 37 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making these tablets more secure than before. We expect Samsung to release the update in other regions in the next few days.

With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung showcased the latest stable version of its Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5. It offers a slightly redesigned user interface and many new features. The Galaxy Tab S9 series is eligible to get it. The brand is expected to start rolling it out in the next few weeks.
